This implies that the product will set itself up to deliver low sensitivity in a smokey location or high sensitivity in a computer room. The detector is made to be installed in a docking station. As a preliminary fix, all sample pipes and cables are attached to the Docking Station; if necessary, the detector will be installed at the final commissioning stage. By doing this, the likelihood of detectors being harmed during installation is reduced. Compatibility with any fire alarm system is guaranteed via voltage-free contacts.

Stratos-Nano is a compact, simple-to-install device that offers dependable aspirating smoke detection. The detector comes with an ABS enclosure. Communications RS485 Integrated Short Isolators for Maximum Dependability Programmable Integral Serial Interface for BACnet BMS communications or TAP text messaging/paging The SenseNET PC Graphical Management System's RS232 serial interface either separately or in combination with the HSSD 2 detector enclosure For networks with up to 127 detectors, the Stratos Command Module offers a single location display, control, and interface option. From a single central point, any detector on the network can be programmed or questioned. The engineer can modify configuration settings on every detector at once thanks to global programming. In order to spot possible trouble spots, the Command Module will by default always show the status of the detector with the greatest smoke level. The common set of alarm and fault relays in the command module can simplify the interface of all detectors on the network. The command module can link all networked detectors into an addressable loop from a single location by using an APIC (addressable Protocol link Card). Every detector on the network will get status information from the APIC, and the fire alarm control panel will display each detector's unique address. The Modbus output on the Command Module makes it simple to interface with the customer's BMS system. On request, Kidde Airsense will supply the Modbus protocol document. The command module can also be included as part of a Stratos HSSD 2, which combines central control and indication with detecting capabilities in a single enclosure to conserve space and shorten installation times. For more industrial applications, a steel enclosure version of the command module is also offered.
