Pressure Relief Dampers

Although pressure venting is a crucial component of many gaseous fire safety systems, poorly planned venting can have detrimental effects.

For a space or enclosure to be structurally stable, pressure relief is necessary.

Under normal circumstances, pressure relief dampers stay closed; but, in the event of a gas discharge, they open to release excess positive and negative pressure and safeguard the room's integrity. They close once the room's pressure returns to normal in order to preserve the room's integrity.

Weatherproof louvres or anti-intrusion bars will be installed where the damper is attached to an external wall.
